Croft’s Blue Spring Bait Manufacturing Co. made the lures that were patented by Dennis Croft and John Barefield. They received their patent for the lure design on August 12, 1952. The lures were made in the Florida panhandle town of Marianna. Croft’s double jointed lure is truly an innovative design. It was called the Humpty-Dumpty lure. It lure came in a green scale, brown scale and purple scale patterns. Croft’s Blue Spring Bait lures are considered to be made by one of the great North Florida Makers.
