Sanford Metal Doc’s Menhaden lures are typically found with just the shinny aluminum finish, but painted ones were also made. The painted ones are scarcer and hard to find with the paint still intact. It is thought that the lures were painted by Porter Bait Co. in Daytona Beach, FL. Doc’s Menhaden lures are considered to be made by one of the great Central Florida Lure Makers.
