The H.B. Costa lures are sometimes referred to as the Istokpoga Hammerhead. The novel lure design is very popular among collectors. Costa also made a glass-eyed minnow lure. Hammerheads were sold by Knight & Wall Co. in Tampa. Lake Istokpoga is located near Sebring about 60 miles southeast of Tampa. H.B. Costa lures are considered to be some of the great lures made by the Tampa Bay area makers.
