The Earl Gresh Wood Parade Museum started by selling wooden buttons, bracelets and tackle boxes out of his garage in 1931. He later opened the Earl Gresh Wood Novelties gift shop in 1936. Three years later he opened the Wood Parade museum of wood next to the gift shop. In the gift shop, you could buy his wooden purse, marquetry pictures, and other artistic wooden novelties. The highlight of the museum was the half-size marquetry murals depicting the life of Christ. The 16 murals are now are located at Memorial Park at 54th Ave. North and 49th Street in St. Petersburg, FL. The Earl Gresh Wood Parade Museum shows that he was one of the great Tampa Bay area makers.
