Earl Gresh Lures – St. Petersburg, FL

Earl Gresh lures were made in the 1950’s through the 1970’s. Earl’s lures are unique and came in a wide range of colors and styles. Most are marked with his name on the belly of the lure. Colors of Gresh saltwater lures are predominately two patterns. Probably the most pleasing is the green back sardine pattern. It has a turquoise/green color back with silver scales blending into a white belly. The other pattern is the white with red head. When he was once asked what was his favorite color pattern when fishing for tarpon he said, “I like any of them as long as they are red and white.” Judging by the percentages of each found, we know he liked both. Earl Gresh is considered one of the great Tampa Bay Area Florida lure makers.
