Gold Fishing Reel & Rod – A wonderful description of the “World Famous” gold fishing reel & rod with topaz ornamentation appeared in the 1929 Abbey & Imbrie Fishing Tackle Catalog. It describes a beautifully engraved solid gold reel and matching split bamboo rod with gold reel seat and ferrules. They were also described in an earlier “American Angler” magazine article in 1916.
